| a meme from a long long time ago |

LtK tagged me in a meme awhile back to write seven random things about myself, and i've been really wanting them to be super interesting, so here are some that i thought of. I randomly think about things, and I'll be like, "oh, that would be GREAT to put in this meme", but then i never write them down, or do anything about it.
1. I have never seen a star wars movie, and i intend on keeping it that way. I have only seen two episodes of star trek, forced upon me.
2. I connected my dad with members of his family that he never knew he had, thanks to a cool new thing called the "internet". My dad never knew his birth father, but I was able to find this side of his family, i think cousins, and uncles and other relations like this. Very random and cool.
3. I don't like my toast to be 'too toasted'... I guess I like a combination of bread/toast. I also don't like it to get too cold before I get to eating it, which is tricky when it doesn't get very heated in the first place.
4. My dad's mother had two sisters, and the three of them all had old lady names. Ethel, Wanda and Sylvia. I also heard somewhere that they were called by boys' names because they needed boys to help out with the farm.
5. In grade three I brought a song to school and sang it for the class as part of our music lesson thing. I found it in a songbook in the piano, and I think my mom encouraged me to bring it to school. I remember singing 'scarborough fair' and 'when the saints go marching in', and one song that i really can't remember much, but it had the words 'strawberry shortcake' in it... but googling this brings up nothing, as there is a kid's show by this name. Anyways, the song goes something like this...
They say that up at my school the kids are mighty fine, you ask for Elvis Presley they give you Frankenstein
Gee but I wanna go, back to my daddio, gee but I wanna go home.
They say that up at my school the cookies are divine, well one fell off the table and killed a pal of mine.
Gee but I wanna go, back to my daddio, gee but I wanna go home.
They say that up at my school the drinks are mighty fine, you ask for coca cola, they give you turpentine
Gee but I wanna go, back to my daddio, gee but I wanna go home.
I'm sure there are more lines, and there are different versions of this song for the army and girl guide camp, but this is the one I remember.
6. Just like my dad, I start to-do lists, but instead of finishing them, I write new ones once I've finished several of the items.
7. I learned how to blow bubbles in bubble gum at julianna's birthday party back in the day. I believe this was the same day that I tore a ligament in my ankle, which was interesting as I was on crutches for a month (my mom said that I liked using them so much that I didn't really need to be on them for a month, but just got so used to it).
i really enjoyed doing this... so i think i'll keep doing this randomly... Lisa aka LTK, I want you to do it again!

woowoo, I'm glad you did it! It's hard to think of 7 more random facts, but maybe I will...
